1. Ethiopian Opal has a hardness of 5.5-6 on the Mohs scale.

2. It is a soft gemstone, suitable for occasional jewellery such as Cocktail rings, Pendants, and Dress earrings.

3. Although a soft stone, if set using protective methods like Bezel setting, it can still be worn regularly.

4. Please avoid cleaning it in an ultrasonic cleaning device or using ammonia-based cleaning solutions.

5. Ethiopian Opal is porous, please avoid putting it in a pickle pot.

6. Opal is the birthstone of October.

7. This size is suitable to be the centre stone of rings or pendants.
